Jermaine Green - Recording Artist, Producer
Jermaine Green was born on November 14, 1971 to Juanita Green and the late pastor James L. Green. As a youth he was raised in Liberty City in Miami, FL where he attended Little River Elementary school. At the tender age of five (5) years old, Jermaine’s father introduced him to his first instrument, a drum set and was told by his father that he must learn as he go. His first performance was with The Florida Stars, a gospel group where his father was the founder and singer/musician of the group. At the age of 10 years old, when Jermaine received his first pay, $20.00, it was then that Jermaine realized that Music would become his niche’ and discovered another God-given talent as a singer.
In his early teenage years, Jermaine attended Miami Northwestern Senior High School, a performing arts school, where he was selected as one of the top talented youths in the South Florida Tri-County area to attend their four year program in performing arts called PAVAC. Jermaine was part of the Chorus, where he was the section leader of the tenors, the Orchestra where he was a percussionist, the Concert Band where he became the first chair as a snare drummer and Jazz Band where he was the main drum set player. Jermaine became an honor student in his senior year, graduating with honors. He also received a scholarship to get private music studies with The New World School of the Arts.
At the age of 17 years old, Jermaine played for a Celebrity Artist by the name of Steve Zimmerman, who performed with Gregory Hines in the very popular movie called “Taps”. He was also recommended through PAVAC to perform with Peabo Bryson, a Celebrity Music Artist and Jazz Saxophonist, Charlie Austin who performed for Dizzy Gillespie and many well known Celebrity Artist. As a young adult, Jermaine became a Musical Director and a Musical Consultant for various churches, one of which he played and sang for Governor Jeb Bush while serving fifteen (15) years as the Minister of Music at The Worldwide Christian Center Church in Pompano Beach, FL under the direction of Rev. Dr. O’Neal Dozier.
At an young age, Jermaine was also introduced to entrepreneurship by his mentor, D. C. Whitehead, a Private Investigator for the State of Florida, on how to become a professional entrepreneur. Jermaine’s first Endeavour was a car wash business by the name of Cool Waters, his first experience as an entrepreneur. He later ventured into other business endeavors. In 1999, Jermaine established Green Services, Inc., where he is a professional certified inspector to do insurance surveys and pre-purchase property inspections for banks. He is also on the board of Paradigm Construction Company.
In addition, he is a licensed small business planner where he help protect businesses and individuals from identity theft as well as provide legal expense insurance to assist with legal matters. Jermaine Green currently serves as the Minister of Music at New Life Baptist Church in Miami, FL under the direction of Pastor Eric Cummings, a moderator for the Southern Baptist Organization of South Florida. Jermaine is still Operating his Business endeavors.
